I know I’ve been missing but the truth is for awhile there I wasn’t doing much of anything. A lot of changes happened both in my personal life and in my work life. I’ve also only read a total of 9 books this year which is drastic drop in how much I usually read. I haven’t wanted to read until recently. I had started What Happened to Goodbye by Sarah Dessen and then it sat there for weeks before I finally picked up again and then I finished it in a few days. Now I’m reading The Peach Keeper by Sarah Addison Allen which honestly I think came to me just when I needed it.
Other things I’ve been doing..utilizing Netflix instant streaming by watching seasons 4 and 5 of Bones which was where I had left off and now I have to wait. for 6 to come to the instant streaming. (I’m keeping fingers crossed that it will!). Then Zack and I watched all 13 episodes of Harper’s Island which was so ridiculously bad but I couldn’t stop watching it. I had my own running commentary of it and at the end it got a little creepy and I don’t mean that in a scary way. Then I discovered Ghost Adventures on the Travel Channel which now I can’t stop watching. It’s like an addiction. It probably helps that Zak Bagans is cute…well I think so. I also finally registered for an online short story writing class which I’m excited about.
I have seen a few movies that I like so here is a list of those.
Super 8 – I really liked this movie and I pretty much think J.J. Abrams is a genius. I loved the cast and to me it had a Goonies feel even though they were completely different stories. Actually I don’t like the movie Goonies (I had to watch it one too many times when I was little due to my brothers) so this was ten times better to me.
Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon - We saw this one in 3D and generally I don’t like 3D but it was the only time that really worked for us since we were having friends over for dinner later on in the evening. I liked it in 3D though and it was funny in parts. I still think the first one is the best one though and also one of my favorite movies.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 – OMG! yes OMG! I loved this movie on so many levels. I cried and I laughed and it was all bittersweet. To this day I am still jealous of people who get to read Harry Potter for the first time. I wish I could experience that again. Harry Potter means so much to me and has gotten me through some rough times and again it helped me when I was in a bad place! Usually at least once during a movie when I see it in the theater I think I wonder how much longer is left. I didn’t do that with this movie. I was that entranced in it. Ahhh I want to see it again.
Crazy, Stupid, Love - I just went and saw this yesterday with my mom and my Aunt. I think I liked it because of the company I had to see it. It was fun though and I want to touch Ryan Gosling’s abs.
So that’s it with the movies…well not it. I’ve watched a lot on DVD since we get them through Blockbuster.
Lastly I’ve been shopping too much. Mostly clothes but also snack food on my lunch break because I keep going to Target. My co-worker makes fun of me and every time I walk back in with something to eat she shakes her head at me. I think even more amusing is that I rarely eat it. It’s just a growing pile in my drawer but I guess it comforts me.
I’ll admit it…I’ve watched more than my fair share of Ghost Adventures. I find Zak’s aggressive nature to be completely hilarious!
